Kinetics Royal Ink Nail Polish – Review, Swatches & Photos

Hello beauties!

This first color I decided to wear from Kinetics Fall – Winter 2012 Let’s Pink Collection (preview & swatches) was Royal Ink because I’m loving a dark nail polish shade. The collection is already available and features 12 new shades which I already swatched.

Kinetics Royal Ink nail polish (€6.00/ 25.00 Lei for 15 ml/ 0.5 fl oz ) is a gorgeous dark violet with blue undertones which become more like a royal blue under natural light. It has a creamy formula, not too thick or too thin and it’s fully opaque even after the first coat. The second coat delivers even a darker purple and super shiny finish. The application was excellent without pooling, streaking or bubbling but because it’s a creme it takes a little longer to dry. Before applying Royal Ink I used Kinetics Nano Seal Base Coat & Therapy for Brittle Nails (review, nail swatches & photos) and as a top coat on five of my nails I used Jordana Yellow Out Top Coat which also protects the color.

I worn Royal Ink for 5 days and on the nails where I worn top coat the color looks vibrant but a bit more mattified which is normal considering I used soap, lotions and cremes. I had minor tip wear and the polish chipped a little from my pinkie. On the other nails were I haven’t worn top coat the polish chipped a little more on one of my fingers leaving the rest with only minor tip wear.
