Hello beauties!
Yesterday I gave you a sneak peek of Orly Miss Conduct and Angel Eyes, my favorite nail polishes from Orly Naughty or Nice Holiday 2012 Collection (info & photos) and today I’m going to tell you more about these upcoming shades and how I like to wear them.
I felt in love with these two colors right from the promo photos and swatches that I saw on a beauty blog made me one crave them more and more.
I received the two full size (18 ml/ .6 fl oz) nail polish bottles from Orly Romania while visiting Rowe stand @Cosmetic Beauty Hair 2012 Edition (photos & info) so the Naughty or Nice Christmas 2012 Collection will definitely be available here too. The price for one bottle will be 45.00 Lei.
Check out all the swatches right after the jump…
Orly Miss Conduct nail polish is an opaque magenta or toned down fuchsia with an amazing holo effect given by its tiny glitter particles or silver, pink and blue. It’s definitely a color that likes to play in the sun and gives nice reflections depending on how the light hits. It has an excellent formula, not too watery or too thick just the right combination that will glide on your nails perfectly. The application went perfect without pooling, streaking or bubbling. The color is opaque right from the first coat and looks better in person than in photos but I did a second coat just so you can see the difference. I didn’t applied any top coat this time but I will test it more in the upcoming days and comeback with a full review so I can tell you how much this color lasted on my nails.
I like to wear it simple in one or two coats but I love to wear it also on top of a black nail polish. I tested today and I just love the effect. It looks more dramatic and mysterious to me who I love darker shades. It can be also used in a combination with a white polish for a brighter effect.
I applied two coats of black polish and then two coats of Miss Conduct, taking photos after each layer. I used the black nail polish from Ciate in #017 Un-Restricted Glam (swatches) which is rather sheer in one coat so I had to apply the second one but I recommend you finding a good black color opaque right from the first coat.
Orly Angel Eyes nail polish is a blue glitter with lots of gold, pink and silver flakes. It’s very sheer on a single coat and I had to layer even the third coat to get a nice full coverage. The formula is very different from the one of Orly Miss Conduct, being something between watery and jelly so I advise you should wait a few minutes between coats and also give a good bottle shake before you apply the polish. I found it very hard to pick up the flakes so a few coats are definitely necessary.
I love wearing Angel Eyes over a black polish rather than wear it alone because it looks more dramatic in my opinion and the flakes give the polish a more intense look. The same as for Miss Conduct, I applied 2 coats of black polish and two coats of Angel Eyes also with the recommendation to wait a little bit between coats.

I hope you enjoyed this mini review and I promise to come back in a few days with a full review to tell you how long these color lasted on my nails. Have you tried any of the shades from Orly Naughty or Nice Holiday 2012? If not, are you going to?

Magenta is a gorgeous colour and it looks even better when layered with black. Love the effect!

I happy you like the combination. Too bad I didn’t had any white polish to layer it over, I was curious how would look like. I’m wearing Miss Conduct alone for a couple of days just so I can finish the review but after that…layered over black it is.
