Kinetics, Orly, Jordana & Ciate Products from Cosmetic Beauty Hair 2012 – Preview, Swatches & Photos

It’s time to show you what beauty products I brought home with me from Cosmetic Beauty Hair 2012 Edition hosted two weeks ago in Bucharest at Romexpo. I admit I didn’t purchase as many products as I would loved to because I hadn’t had time. Even though I been there for almost 4 hours, time passed so fast when I visited some of my favorite beauty stands (Kinetics, Orly, Jordana, Ciate, Essie – individual articles from the event) and especially since I had the pleasure of talking to Sinziana Iaru makeup artist at Exclusive Beauty Line Academy and receiving a free makeup session.

There were lots of goodies worth buying at the exhibition but you really needed time to check out every beauty stand. Almost all the products were on sale at very good prices and the best part was that you could find even some of the new upcoming winter and holiday 2012 collections.

I’m sure not many left empty handed from such an event and I would love to know if you had time to visit Cosmetic Beauty Hair and what beauty products have you bought.

From Orly Romania I received my favorite two nails polishes Miss Conduct and Angel Eyes from Orly Naughty or Nice Holiday 2012 Collection (info & promo photos) in full size bottles (18 ml/ .6 fl oz). The new colors will be available for sale in Romania in November 2012 at Orly nail salons, Keiko Slim Spa Centers in Bucharest and @orlyromania.ro.

Orly Miss Conduct nail polish is a magenta base fuchsia with silver flakes with an amazing scattered holo effect. The color is opaque right after the first coat and the formula is excellent. I did put on the second coat just for the photos but honestly one coat is enough for me. Try to wear this color on a sunny day and you will see how beautiful your nails look.

Orly Angel Eyes nail polish is a blue glitter with gold and silver flakes. The formula is good, a little bit thicker which makes you wanna wait a few minutes between coats. For this color two coats are necessary for a full glitter coverage and would look pretty chic over a black nail polish.

I was also in search for a new hand cream and since I love so much my old Hand&Soul Orange Blossom & Ginger hand cream from Kinetics I had to find a new scent within their hand lotion collection. After smelling and testing all the lotions I picked Hand&Soul Turkish Rose & black tea Lotion that Kinetics Romania offered me as a gift. The lotion comes in a 250 ml/ 8.45 fl oz bottle with a black pump which makes it easy to apply just the right quantity of product (one pump is enough). The scent of turkish rose is absolutely incredible being discreet but yet long lasting for hours. The formula is light and sinks immediately into the skin leaving it soft and toned. I also used to use my previous lotion as a body lotion and I just loved how my skin become softer, hydrated and with a long lasting scent. The price is 40 Lei but consider that this lotion will last you a long time as it is five times bigger than normal hand creams or lotions and can also be used as body lotion.

From Ciate I bought a black nail polish in #17 Un-Restricted Glam to use it a base for the two Orly polishes that I received. This color really needs two good coats to deliver that black shiny color. In one colors looks rather sheer and uneven. The bottle contains 13.5 ml of product and I purchased it for 27 Lei.

From Jordana I got one Color Effects Eyeshadow Powder in #05 Creamy Vanilla, three lipglosses and a Yellow Out Top Coat. All Jordana products can be purchased online @cosmeticaverde.ro. The makeup products at Jordana stand were sold at full price but considering they are affordable and since they are available usually only online, was quite alright.

Color Effects Eyeshadow Powder in #05 Creamy Vanilla ( 13 Lei for 1.65 g/ 0.058 oz) is a matte vanilla, a pale skin color shade perfect for highlighting your brow bow or blending with another shades, definitely a must have in every girl’s collection. It was really hard for me to swatch it because the color is really matching my skin color so that’s why the photo looks like this.

Yellow Out Topcoat contains 15 ml/ .5 fl oz of product and I purchased it for 12 Lei. It suppose to protect color from yellowing and fading and also blocks UV sun. I will test it in the upcoming days. It must be applied after the nail polish.

For each of the three lipglosses I payed 15 Lei but the LOL Super Shiny Gloss contains 2.43 g/ 0.085 oz of product which is almost a third from the classic Jordana Lipgloss with 7 g/ 0.25 oz. All three shades #58 Hot Lips, #112 VIP and #104 BFF are glossy and pigmented, feel very smooth on the lips but they tend to smell a little bit chemical to me. The scent is like red watermelon combined with some chemical ingredients but noticeable only if you smell it from the tube.
