Make Up For Ever Black Tango Fall 2012 Collection – Preview, Photos & Swatches

Make Up For Ever Black Tango Fall 2012 Collection (info & promo photos) was designed to be a fall makeup collection with darker shades but was released in some countries in end of June 2012. Because it has been released so early in the summer it wasn’t taken very seriously as an Autumn collection by many women. I payed a visit to Make Up For Ever Romania boutique about two months ago to check out their new collection but I kept postponing this post until now when I think the colors are more suitable for this season.

As I already mentioned in the presentation post this collection features the Black Tango Waterproof Cream Color Palette which includes 4 shades, 3 nail colors and 12 new shades of Aqua Rouge Lipstick.

Black Tango Waterproof Cream Color Palette (200 Lei for  4 x 15 g/ 0.05 oz) is available in Limited Edition and can be purchased from Make Up For Ever Boutiques or Sephora locations. It features four creamy colors in ivory, deep aquatic blue, deep green and burgundy red.

Black Tango Nail Polish collection (50 Lei for each 7,5 ml/ 0.25 fl. oz) includes 3 dark shades, black with green, black with blue highlights and black with red highlights. The bottles are indeed small and they deliver only 7.5 ml of product which is kind of expensive for the price of 50 Lei. I’ve swatched all three of the shades and they look very opaque and glossy even after I applied the first coat but a second coat delivered a mirror effect and a deeper color. The formula is a little bit thicker but it glides without problems on the nails, without pooling or streaking.

I worn the nail polishes for about 3 days when they started chipping so that’s about how much they last. It was really a shame to remove the colors after such a short time but I can’t stand chipped ends.

Aqua Rouge Lipsticks ( 96 Lei each) come in 12 new shades, very pigmented, creamy, easy to apply on the lips and not to mention long lasting. One end has a matte lipstick while the other has a clear top coat which can be added on top of the matte color for a shiny lip effect.  They feel amazing on the lips, very comfortable, non drying and creamy. I used one of the Aqua Rouge Lipstick shades for my black dramatic makeup look that I showed you last week and there you can see how this colors looks right after it was applied and how well it lasted after 8 hours of wear.

These are the prices for MUFE products available at MUFE Boutique because in Sephora they are different. The palette retails for 176 Lei while the nail polishes are 54 Lei each.
