Hello lovelies!
Rumor has it that MAC Cosmetics will be launching MAC Marilyn Monroe Collection later this year. We know that MAC has been paring with all kind of superstars and famous feminine figures but this collection I’m really looking forward to see. I’m a Marilyn Monroe fan since I can remember, so I’m really exited about these upcoming products. Word is the collection will not be available until October 2012 so I have to be more than patient for this one.
“MAKEUP IS A GIRL’S BEST FRIEND: MAC Cosmetics will celebrate Marilyn Monroe’s legacy and iconic beauty look with a limited edition color cosmetics collection, due at all worldwide MAC locations in October. Launched in partnership with Authentic Brands Group LLC, which acquired the intellectual property of Marilyn Monroe LLC in January 2011, the range will feature about 30 custom-designed stockkeeping units, priced from $15 to $27, and include eye shadows, lipsticks, nail lacquers and eyeliners.” – wwd.com
Availability
U.S. & Internationally – October 2012
I will update this post once I have more details. Are you girls looking forward to see this collection?

I hope they don’t do anything cartoony. They’ve ruined several collections with the packaging. Marilyn is a true beauty icon and they need to keep it classy.

I really hope that too Marcia. This time I hope they will choose a more appropriate packaging. I can”t wait to see the colors, but knowing Marilyn I bet there will be a red lipstick somewhere

Agree with everyone and hope Mac introduces some classy colors like Marilyn and not the girls just want to have fun stuff. I think she used to wear white eyeliner on top of her famous winged eyeliner. I remember in the movie “Bustop” her name was Cherry and she worn a gorgeous berry red lipstick in the movie.
I am really excited about it and hope to get to test some products in october because I’ll be starting university in England so looking forward to it. As Marcia said, I hope they will come up with a classy packaging.
