Hi everyone,
You know me, forever addicted to lip glosses and if the color “happens” to be pink then I must try it on. I have lots of lip glosses and because these seems to be my favorite makeup product I thought it would be easy to start reviewing them first to get back into that “review products” mood.
Today I’m gonna review Max Effect Lip Gloss in Pink Romantic which is one of the glosses included in Max Factor Colour Effect Collection for Summer 2010. It’s a really fun collection with bright and vibrant shades of glosses, eyeshadows and nail polishes so if you are into bright and fun makeup for this summer you should check it out.
I’ve been using Max Effect Lip Gloss in Pink Romantic for a few months now and it’s among my favorite colors. I don’t say it’s the perfect lip gloss but I will tell you later why.

Max Factor Max Effect Lip Gloss in Pink Romantic
Pink Romantic is a beautiful pale pink shade with lots and lots of tiny shiny particles that really makes my lips look like a shining mirror and gives my that glossy effect.

Wearing Max Effect Lip Gloss in Pink RomanticI love the color because it’s more pigmented than other pink glosses (well as far as a pink natural can be) and you can notice those small glittering particles. They are in charge with the glossy effect and they do a pretty good job.
Max Effect Lip Gloss in Romantic Pink – swatch
This gloss looks really beautiful on fair skin ladies but if you are a medium skin tone it would probably look more natural on you but still provides a lot of shine so you can wear it on top of a lipstick.
Has a non sticky formula and a pleasant smell. I always wear it straight on the lips but adding Pink Romantic on top of a lipstick really make it shine.

The price tag is £4.99 which makes it a pretty good deal because the tube contains a lot of product that will last you quite a long time.
One of the things that makes this lip gloss not perfect is the applicator.

Max Effect Lip Gloss – applicator
I really don’t like applying lip glosses right from the tube and I’m against this type of applicator. Beside the fact that it doesn’t apply the product like an applicator brush or pencil does, this one is also very messy. I always have to clean the gloss excess that remains on the tube and this is one of the reason why I usually don’t take this lip gloss on my purse. I prefer to apply the color before I go and just leave it home. Call me lazy but when I’m in a hurry I just wanna use a lip gloss that has a brush applicator rather than this one that needs to be squeezed to provide the product and after needs to be cleaned. If you don’t clean the applicator right away it will remain sticky and next time you wanna apply some lip gloss it will just be a mess.
Another thing I’ve noticed is a tingling effect that I get in the first 2 minutes after I apply the lip gloss. At first I thought that has that special property that makes my lips look a little bigger, but now….it’s just a tingling feel that will pass shortly. Did this happened to you? I’m really curious about it.
I hope this review was helpful for you guys. Please let me know if you like this color or if you have a lip gloss from the same collection.
