I don’t think that this collection is something for me,the only thing that looks interesting for me is the beauty powder.

This is the first time I’ve seen MAC emboss a word onto a product. I think that’s interesting. I’ll want to see Badlands pigment.

The beauty powder looks nice!
That promo-photo is shocking. This is not beauty, it’s halloween! Well it fits to most of the product names though.
The products themselves look interesting!
i agree

I can’t keep up with MAC, from the promo pic I was expecting weird packaging but the items just seem regular.
I wonder who can keep up with MAC. At least here in Europe MAC doesn’t make so much waves like it does in U.S.
I love the colors – the Rodarte lipglass looks gorgeous. It’s only going to launch in the big markets though – I had to call NYC to order it. Mac counters and smaller stores aren’t going to get it, and it isn’t mentioned on the website. But I agree, that is the weirdest promo photo I have ever seen. It makes the collection colors looks positively ugly!
Thank your for the information Karin! It’s nice to see that visitors are coming with new information.
I like your site! BTW, where in Europe? I teach German, French and Italian!
i have read some controversies about this collection as early this morning!!!

Wow, MAC is getting hit on this collection. Bloggers galore are outraged at this. MAC apologized for some of the controversy and now everyone is wondering why Rodarte isn’t getting blasted for creating it.

As far as I can see the only problems are the nail polish names: Juarez and Factory. I don’t see anything else being offensive. Because Juarez has been having such a terrible time with the murder rate of young women who work at the factories, it was a rather stupid choice of names, especially for cosmetics – for women.
Seeing as how this collection is supposed to be donating some of the profits to charity, perhaps Mac and Rodate should specifically mark these donations to programs dealing with the abuse of women.
Just a thought.
I did order both lipglosses, the powder, and the Sleepwalker eye shadow.

The blush looks every interesting and pretty, if I was to get any one item I’d get this.

I heard today that this collection is not going to be shipped and MAC still having lots of problems with it…do you know whats going on? Im lost!!!
The promo pic is terrible…hate it!!! I LOVE MAC, but the top models are to ugly and too skinny…awfullll….
Yup! That’s right…they’ve canceled the launch of this collection. They apologize to everyone and said they will still support the women of Juarez.
I’m surprised about MAC especially with the things they do for aids I guess human rights is joke to them. I’m so sickened by it that I will not be buying MAC or makeup from their parent company Estee Lauder.
Jeez, what next concentration camp victims, twin towers campaigns? They should of had money donated to the cause before trying to capatalize on the victims of Juarez.
This collection is based on the DEATHS OF JUAREZ (Mexico), something that I do not seem to be basing a makeup collection.
