Tom Pecheux the new makeup director at Estee Lauder has reinvented the Pure Color cosmetic line. He replaced the old neutral shades with vibrant hues for fall that are heavily pigmented in colors and textures.

When he started working for Estee Lauder in November 2009 Pecheux declared “Makeup is such a fashion accessory – I’d like to highlight that part of the brand, and also bring a playful touch to the franchise,” .
You’ve probably seen the new colors during Derek Lam’s Fall 2010 show and backstage Pecheux used the vibrant navy blue and sparkling copper from the Pure Color line to create the cowgirl-inspired eyes.
The new line contains 48 new Pure Color Eyeshadows in 4 different finishes:
- matte
- satin
- luminous
- metallic
The eyeshadows that will be launched in August 2010 are described as long – lasting, fade – resistant and buildable.

Pecheux for WWD “I’ve always thought that eye shadow brings women self-confidence and power,“.
If those beautiful eyeshadows are going to be launched in the Fall the good news is that Pure Color Glosses will hit the counter in June 2010. They will be available in 34 new shades in shine, shimmery and metallic for a price of $20 each.
Are you excited about this new products? I’m not so found of blue eyeshadows but I can’t say the model doesn’t have a gorgeous makeup. I just know the blue colors are the hardest one to pull of and I’ve always tried to avoid them.

I’m so excited for this! The EL products I’ve tried are great and these look amazing! And Hilary Rhoda looks fabulous in the promo pic, which doesn’t hurt either…

Hi Marce! I’m not a fan of blue eye shadows but she looks really great with this makeup.
