Hi everyone,
As you already know the latest big event in the Makeup and Fashion industry is still going on at Paris Fashion Week. MAC Cosmetics makeup artists attended the Parish Fashion Week 2010 and their special looks were seen in several shows.

I’m going to make a few posts and show you some of the face charts that have been seen during the whole event so if you are interested keep reading.
Let’s see the four face charts that I’ve got for you from the day of 5 March.

“It’s a no makeup makeup, about contouring and highlights -with clothes so sculptural and designed we wanted to bring back a freshness and ease to the look with the makeup and hair.”

” Hans Christian Andersen dark fairy tales, all about mass sexualization – is it a boy, is it a girl, is it a boy being a girl being a boy ? We have two characters – a Prince Charming with furry tortured brows and moustaches and a heroine Damsel in Distress with a Klimt-y eye and a cartoon line drawing of a mouth .”
The Prince Charming Look

EYES:
Cream Colour Base in Dark Brown – on the inner brow bone, blended down the side of the nose and across the socket line

Liquid Liner in Boot Black – to draw on a bushy deranged brow

Studio Sculpt Foundation – as a base
Invisible Set Powder – to set for a matte skin
Cream Colour Base in Root – to contour the cheeks
Pro Neon Pigment in Rock-it Yellow – on the cheek

The Damsel Look

EYES:
Eye Kohl in Smolder – washed all over the upper and lower lids using A 224 brush, also involving the brows. Then drawn into the socket line from high on inner corner sloping downwards to create a ‘sad’ eye
No Mascara
FACE:
Studio Sculpt Foundation – as a base
Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder – to set the foundation
No Cheek
LIP:
Liquid Liner in Boot Black – to draw on a cartoon bubble lip outline
Lipmix in Fuchsia – painted in with A 194 brush
Pro Neon Pigment in Magenta Madness – pressed on top
Maison Martin Margiela – Hannah Murray
“I liked the idea of classic perfection given an unusual twist: It’s a flawless red lip given a conceptual ‘smudge’ at one side.”

EYES:
Clear Brow Set – to groom the brow
FACE:
Face and Body Foundation – as a base
Select Moisture Cover Concealer – where needed
Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder – around the nose and chin but left dewy elsewhere
LIP:
Lip Pencil in Cherry – to line the lips
Lipstick in Ruby Woo – painted on with A 316 brush in an opaque layer, then smudged slightly below the lower lip on one side as if the girls had pulled it themselves with a finger (a touch of lipstick was then added to each girls finger/hand).

Wow, those looks by Val Garland are so strong! I’d love to see actual photos of the makeup on the models. I’m going to look it up! And the colour used on the lips at Maison Martin Margiela is beautiful!

Hi Marce! Indeed these are very bold makeup looks. Great to see them on the models too but I would never wear them.
