I will end my Kinetics review series with Don’t Promise polish review.
Among other three nail polishes, Don’t Promise is part of the Kinetics Film Noir 1 Collection. So far I’ve been reviewing another two colors from the Film Noir 3 collection but the collection description is similar.

“Reminiscent of the ’40s and ’50s, this selection presents the vibrant colors seen in Winter 2008 fashion shows. The dramatic, sanguine red of Unspoken Love flows into the sensual, bright raspberry glow of Sweet Smell of Success. Emotionally deep, blue Sinful and the turquoise of Thrilling together add sinister hues to the palette. Hollywood glamour returns in gold brocade, flickering with subtle cinnamon Powder Puff nuances. But it is a false sense of tranquility, shattered by the glittering, licentious black.”
Don’t Promise is beautiful fresh green hue that I would like to wear it in the Spring season. It’s a very bright and vibrant color that can attracted attention on your nails.

2 coats of Don’t Promise – no top coat
The texture is not very liquid but it applies perfectly even after the first coat. As you can see from the photo the final result is perfect after two coats of Don’t Promise and no top coat. The color is shining by itself so no top coat was needed to get this effect. Of course if you decide to apply the top coat this will improve the nail polish lasting power.
The brush glides easily on the nail surface leaving no lines behind and making sure that the color is applied evenly.

Don’t Promise – 2 coats – no top coat
I’ve payed for the 15 ml bottle of nail polish only $7.00 which I consider it to be a fair price. If you are into bright green shades I’m sure you will love this color and consider it wearing it this season because it really screams springtime.
But enough about how cute is this color in the first day because we know that almost every color looks beautiful on our nails in the beginning. Let’s see now what happens after a few days and after you can tell me your honest opinion.
Don’t Promise nail polish 5 days later
Here are the facts:
- 2 layers of Don’t Promise nail polish
- No top coat added
- Tested for 5 days
- Washing dishes, typing on PC, hot and cold water and other things you can think of.
Here are the results:

Don’t promise – no top coat – after 5 days
Well, yeah this photo was indeed taken after 5 days. The result is pretty amazing right? I can’t believe this polish is so chip resistant. If I would have added a layer of top coat I’m sure I could have kept this color on my nails for a week.
I can’t tell you to neglect the chipped ends of the nails but I consider it to be normal after so many days.

Don’t Promise polish in natural light after 5 days
Taking a closer look at this photo you can notice some of the lines that are on the nail polish but without any protection the color tends to mattify and if you are using your hands at least to wash some dishes is impossible not to have these signs.
Let me know what you think about this color and especially if you ever tried Kinetics products before.

Thanks for the review. That’s a beautiful and vibrant green shade and I love it’s so chip resistant!

Hi Gio! Indeed is such a bright green hue and I couldn’t believe when I see the days were going by but the polish was still there on my nails.
