Hi Girls,
We are already in the spring season for a couple of days now so I thought I will review the Van D’Go nail polish. This is one of the six color included in the Essie The Art of Spring 2010 Collection.
Van D’Go is what I can really call a spring color. A beautiful soft peachy shade is what my nails needed to for this Spring. The polish comes in a 15 ml bottle and it’s available for $8.00 on Essie website.
Although is more a pastel color it can leave a vivid impact.

Van D’go – 2 layers – no top coat
As you can see from the photo is really a beautiful sweet color and kind of shiny too. I haven’t used any top coat and as you can see the polish looks beautiful without it. Two layers were necessary to get this result.

I didn’t noticed any problems during the application and even after I’ve applied the first layer the color was looking beautifully but not perfect so a second layer was needed.
Now let’s talk about its resistance because a polish must be also chip resistant so I can consider it perfect. The color and texture are not enough that’s why I always make a chip resistant test so you guys can see how this nail polish will look on your nails after a few days.

Van D’go – after 4 days – no top coat
Before I get to tell you my honest opinion let me say that I had a little incident last week and you can notice that one of my nails is shorter than the others.
This also happened at the same nail of left hand so when I’ll post the next review you’ll get almost the same picture.
Now let’s talk about the results. Considering that I haven’t used any top coat I can say the result is pretty OK but not excellent. The color is the same but as you can see the shine is gone and it begin to have a mattyfing effect.

As you can see my other nails don’t look so bad but of course I don’t recommended keeping it on your nails for so many days if you are going to use a top coat.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this review! Please let me know what do you think about this nail polish and if you like any of the colors from Essie’s Art of Spring Collection, because I’m plan to review the entire collection.

I really like this colour. I got this as well as Pop Art Pink which is also great and Lilacism which I haven’t tried yet, but will soon. It’s a great collection of polishes!
