I’ve got another news for you. This time is about a new Essie nail polish collection that is going to be launched on May 2010.
Beach bound jetsetters can now reach the pinnacle of resort-inspired style with the newest Limited-Edition collection by Essie. The Resort Collection was created to mimic the sights and sounds of the world’s most exotic destinations. The four colors are must-have accessories for any tropical vacation and the only escape for your hands and feet that doesn’t require a passport.
“I wanted to create colors that would reflect a passion for all-things paradise,” says Essie Weingarten, founder and president of Essie Cosmetics, Ltd. “Chic vacationers are known for their island-inspired style and these nail colors add the final fashionable touch to that look.”
Vibrant and trendy, these bold colors are a must-have accessory for every beach goer and for those with no vacation plans in sight, they’ll bring a ray of sunny paradise into the day.
The four new summer colors are:
- Lapis Of Luxury – a dreamy ocean blue
- Splash Of Grenadine – a playful magenta pink
- Playa Del Platinum – an elegant and sheer sandy gray
- Turquoise & Caicos – a flirty and pretty tropical aqua
To ensure your color will outlast sand and surf (or just everyday wear and tear), start with a layer of base coat (try Essie Sensitivity Base Coat) and polish off with a durable top coat (like Essie’s Non-Yellowing Top Coat.)
These are the only photos that I have so far but as soon as I will receive more I will update this post.

Hi dear! The turquoise looks indeed pretty good from the promo photo but I still need to see the color on my nails. Some colors look better in bottles than they look on the nails.

Hi Marina! I agree with you but I hope that Splash of Grenadine will be a nice shade also.
I love it. But the two photos shows two different shades of green, one of them look like Mint Candy Apple, so I hope the first one is the closest.
Hi! Yes your are right, I noticed that too when I posted the photos yesterday. I’m really hoping for the first one too since the name it’s turquoise.

This says it is launching in May 2010. I got a manicure today with Lapis of Luxury – oh my gosh gorgeous!!! So my advice is to start looking sooner than May!

Are you from US? I received the info about this collection from official sources and the collection is going to be launched in UK no sooner than May.

Numai la distribuitorii Essie, nu si in magazine din cate stiu eu. Colectia aceasta nu cred ca a aparut la noi inca. Ei au biroul undeva pe la periferia Bucurestiului si lucreaza mai mult cu saloane din cate am inteles.
