Let’s turn our attention to a brighter color!

Essie Bright Tights is the kind of nail polish that when you decide to wear it you must be sure that anyone will look at you, so a perfect manicure is required. Bright Tights – no flash

Bright Tights it’s a vibrant neon orange color with a mattifying effect. I’m not so  into bright and strong colors like this one but if brought me a happy spirit while I was wearing it and I have to admit I was in a better mood only when I looked at my nails.

The Bright Tights comes in a 15 ml bottle and costs about $9.00.

I’ve applied 2 layers of this mattifying color but I was not pleased with the final result. The texture is very light, almost watery and transparent. After I’ve applied the first layer, I’ve noticed only lines, the color is not very pigmented and the result after the first step was terrible. When I saw this bright color in the bottle I didn’t expect it to be so transparent on my nails.

Definitely a second layer was requested. The final result was definitely improved as you can see from the photos but the polish was not evenly spread so in some parts I can still see through the nail polish. Review: Essie Midnight Cami – Photos + Swatches

Hello Ladies!

After so many reviews regarding lip products I decided to make a change and post more about nail polishes. I’m planning to review 4 more Essie nail polishes and as soon as I finished that I will post a Round-Up with all of them.

Today’s Star is going to be Essie Midnight Cami a beautiful dark blue color. Just like the name suggests this nail polish resemblance the midnight sky. I’m into dark nail polishes but before this one I’ve never tried blue colors (I don’t even use blue eyeshadows).

I bought this nail polish a couple of month ago from a beauty products exposition and I payed $9.00 for this 15 ml bottle.

Midnight Cami has a little bit of shimmer inside, very thin particles that make the polish shine on your nails. Applying a top coat is only optional, because I didn’t see any difference once I’ve applied the top coat on my right hand fingers.

Round-up: Max Factor Lipfinity Lip Colour & Colour Gloss

Today was a busy day for me but it’s finally coming to an end. I finished reviewing all the Lipfinity products by Max Factor so here is the Round-up of these gorgeous lip products.

I really enjoyed testing and wearing them and I have to say that indeed they are long lasting. Kiss proof, waterproof, food proof and party proof, all of these are completely true. They might not last 10 or 12 hours without retouching but I can guarantee you a period of 6-8 hours. I’ve tested all these lip products on myself and I’m 100% satisfied with their quality and price. Not all the colors were among my favorite but I’m sure you girls will find among these 7 shades at least one that you will like.

Charming 140 is indeed a charming color of a bright coral shade. A little bit shimmery after I’ve applied the color base and absolutely gorgeous after the second step where the moisturizing top coat made its effect. Looking natural, with a water shining effect and a vibrant color the Lip Color in Charming is a beautiful shade for the upcoming Spring of 2010. Its texture is fluid and light, easy to apply and colors the lips and an instant.

You already know from the previous reviews I did on Lipfinity Lip Colour in Vivacious 040 and Whisper 010 that it’s a product in 2 steps, with lasting impact on your lips. You will have vibrant and moisturized lips thanks to the conditioning top coat. Max Factor declares that it can last on your lips up to 12 hours.

Step 1: Apply the color on your clean lips and  keep them apart for about 60 seconds or until they dry. The color base contains 2,3 ml of product.

Step 2: Apply the moisturizing top coat for moisture and shine.

Don’t forget about the oil-based make-up remover if you want to get ride of this Lip Color at the end of the day.

I’m going to start my Max Factor Lipfinity Lip Colour series with the review of Vivacious 040. I have to agree with the make-up artists when they say that the perfect lip colour doesn’t mean constant touch-ups. I keep a lipstick or a lipgloss in my purse just in case, but I don’t like to retouch my lip color.

Max Factor guarantees a gorgeous lasting lip color up to 12 hours.

What it claims to be

“A smart 2-step application that creates catwalk long lasting color then finish the effect with a moisturising gloss top coat. Now with 24 high-fashion shades to choose from and a sleek new look, the best kept backstage beauty secret from Max Factor is officially out!“

Vivacious is a vibrant plum color, similar with the Luminous Petal Colour&Gloss. It’s really food proof (I’ve tested it), kiss proof ( I didn’t test it) and party proof. They say it lasts up to 12 hours on your lips but after 8 hours I had to remove the color cause I don’t like to go to sleep with my makeup on.

It’s a 2 steps product that will give you beautiful results if you follow the two steps correctly.

Step 1: Apply the color on your clean lips and  keep them apart for about 60 seconds or until they dry. The color base contains 2,3 ml of product.

Step 2: Apply clear moisturizing top coat for moisture and shine. Keep your look fresh by re-applying throughout the day as if it were a lip balm (it actually is).The lip balm contains 1,9 g of product.

Lipfinity Removal tips:

This is a product that will stick on your lips for hours, even if you eat, drink or kiss so if you want to remove it at the end of the day you will need to pay extra attention to your lips. I can see that it’s a lip proof product, resistant to transfer and you will need an oil-based make-up removal. When I tested the swatches on my hand, they were visible until the next day so you will have no problem with the durability.

My last review of the Max Factor Lipfinity Colour & Gloss series will be the Radiant Red 560. As I said in my previous reviews (Shimmering Pink and Luminous Petal) this is a 2 in 1 product that is meant to add vibrant color on your lips after the first step and bring glamorous glossy effect after the second step.

The texture of this colour gloss is the same like the others two and has the same amazing long lasting effect. The only difference in this review will be the new color.

Radiant Red 560 it’s a vibrant red but looks more like a bright coral mixed with classic red. The result is a satin red color. I’m not into red so this is not a color that I will use everyday (although many people said that it looks good on me) but for those of you who are looking for new red shades for spring, this one could be my suggestion.

The color is beautiful, easy to apply, it doesn’t leave lines, doesn’t clump between your lips leaving that anesthetic line. The texture is soft and creamy but light in the same time. After few seconds the base will dry and you will have a matte effect. If you like the matte color you can forget about the second step but I think your lips will become dry. As you can see from these swatches, the base it’s a pastel pink, not shimmery but it has its own glow. The glossy top coat it’s a very pale pink, more like a transparent shimmering one and I dare to say that it’s beautiful if you decided to apply it alone on your lips (without the base colour).
