Review: Essie Mink Muffs

Here is another review of an Essie nail polish from their Autumn collection. After I reviewed Essie Pink Parka, a vibrant pink neon shade, today is the turn of Mink Muffs.

It’s a smoky plus taupe color with a soft and silky finish for an elegant and classic style. The polish is kind of thin and if you want you can add an extra layer of top coat after you’ve applied the two layers of nail polish.

I like the color but on my nails it doesn’t look like a great combination to me. I’ve applied only 2 layers of nail polish without previous using a base coat and I didn’t even use a top coat at the end cause I wanted to see the full power of this nail polish. So even without a top coat, after I’ve applied the 2 layers of polish the color was impeccable and luscious.

It was a pleasant surprise to see that it lasted a lot longer that it’s sister, Pink Parka from the same collection. It lasted on my nails for 4 days and bellow you can see the photo that I took in the 4-th day. I can say it looks pretty decent but it could have been better. I’m sure that if I had applied a top coat the polish would have looked a lot better.

After 4 days

I can’t say that is quite the chip-resistant type but considering I payed only $9.00 for 15 ml I consider it’s a fair deal.
