I’m currently using only MUFE primer and even though I like my foundation this primer helps in a lot of ways. Foundation last longer, without the primer my face will become shinier faster, helps concealer not to leave lines if you apply it under eye, helps against caking, creates a protective barrier between your skin and foundation, smooths fine lines and many more …I love more the MUFE primer than the Lancome La Base Pro. I’m also using an Oil Absorbing Lotion and Tonic Absorbing Lotion from La Mer and they are a great combo.

Hi! I recently bought Lancome primer and have tried MUFE primer before but it seems that none can control my oiliness in my T-zone long enough. For Lancome it lasted about 4-5hrs only. However, my Double wear Estee Lauder foundation lasted the same too. So, I dont see the need of the primer. Now I regretted buying it. Would really like to love it though.

Hi Reese! Yes, sometimes I wear my makeup primer without applying any foundation after. Now, I’m currently using MUFE primer and it feels great on my skin and helps to keep my oiliness under control.

Wait, so you don’t NEED to apply foundation after the primer? Is it okay to simply wear the primer alone without putting any foundation on, is that “safe” (lol)?

Hi Jessica! If this helps you, let me tell you that I have sensitive skin also and I can’t stand every product on my skin but I had no problem with La Base Pro so far. I usually tended to have breakouts when a product was not fit for my skin. I’m currently using Make Up For Ever Mattifying primer, it works great too.

No, I haven’t used anything from Smashbox. I just bought today the Face Matifying Primer from Make Up Forever Professional and I can’t wait to see how good it is. I will return soon with a review. Thanks for your recommendation Baily, it’s always good to know about great products.
