I have recently discover the new way to glow. I went shopping the other day and after buying something totally funny (I  hope to make a post about it soon) I took a peak into the Sensuous Gold Fall Color 2009 collection from Estee Lauder . I’ve discover the Gilded Rose Marbleized Shimmer Powder which is kind of in the expensive side for me ( 36$ ) but I still decided to buy it.

I simply could not resist not buying it, since I first saw it’s chic colored case. It’s a light peachy-pink case, and you know how I love pink, and with the Estee Lauder symbol on it becomes very chic and feminine. When you open the case you’ll find the applicator along with the powder which is a rainbow of light peachy, pink, bronze and gold shimmery colors. All these colors combined together create   luminous bronze- golddess glow but in the same time will give you a natural look.

This gorgeous blush is only available in Rose color, but what can you want more since it’s only a blush. It can be used on every skin tone without problems. I will recommended to wear it everyday in your makeup bag and you can use it when you go to work, to some job interview, meeting with friends or even a date.

The applicator didn’t made me such a good impression, but I never tend to use the applicators from any bronze or blush anyway. This summer I’ve been using L’Oreal  Blush Delicieux in Pink marshmallow (told ya I’m crazy about pink) and I never used the applicator that came with it, I just like to use my brush powder.

Usually when we are talking about a pressed powder the applicator is doing more bad than good, because the tool bristles are kind of tough  and they tend to take an excessive amount of powder (making the excessive fall everywhere). They say that the luxurious brush will sweep and blend the perfect amount over every curve of your face and decolletage but it didn’t worked for me. If you have a kabuki brush then you should fix this problem instantly.

The texture is very smooth , light and silky and it blends perfectly. Try not to apply too many layers, one or two are enough.

I’m very happy with the result, the color looks great on my cheeks and it stays pretty good for hours. If you keep it close into your bag you can retouch the makeup with only a quick sweep with your kabuki brush (or any powder brush that you might be using).
My conclusion: I like this product a lot. The case it’s feminine, chic and elegant. The applicator it’s not so good as I expected but that’s not such a big minus. The colors combination is  gorgeous and with only 1 -2 applications you will have a perfect natural look that will last you for hours. It’s a shame that’s only available only in one color.
