I know I haven’t been such a good girl this year but Santa still got me a Christmas gift, and I was quite surprised to see that was exactly what I desired but never dared to hope.
I received the Dermo Caviar skin cream from La Prairie. I’ve heard many good things about the products from this brand but I also know they are quite expensive. If it wasn’t for Santa I probably could never spent so much money on a cream. The gift was ordered from ebay so as you can see from the photos the box is not in so good shape but the content is intact. Along with the skin caviar cream I also received 60 dermo caviar applicators.
As far as I know La prairie is one of the best cosmetics brands in the world and its used by many celebrities around the world. I’ve heard only good things about these anti-ageing creams and people who used them were impressed by the wonderful results.
Mine is an instant facial beautifier, firmer and retexturizer in a two-phased micro-encapsulated formula. Enriched with vitamins, botanicals and hydrators, it leaves the skin feeling smooth, soft and supple. Although is not an anti-ageing cream like Skin Caviar Luxe Cream I’m still excited to see its effects.
I’ve been only using it for two days now and all I can say so far is that indeed leaves your skin very soft and hydrated after usage. It’s ideal for morning use, its remarkable smoothing qualities make it the perfect make-up primer. I’ve used it on Christmas day before applying my liquid concealer and i really felt the difference from the cream i was using before.
The cream comes with a spoon to help you put caviar pearls onto center of gauze pad. You must fold the pad over the pearls from two opposite sides and fold again from the ends to form a packet to ensure that the tiny pearls are completely contained. After i press onto the skin the fluid from the pearls was released and I smooth over face and throat, avoiding the eye area.
Skin Caviar with caviar extract is ideal for morning use, but may also be applied at night if you want for a continuous firming treatment.
I will come back with a full review about this cream and its effects on the skin but first i want to try it for at least a month. Meanwhile, since most girls including myself, are not quite happy with La Prairie’s price range, you can look into a great alternative as recommended by Makeup Geek, Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch.
