You are right, curls are really hard to get right on this type of hair, but backcombing can totally transform your hair. For an instant trend update, add an over sized bow. These were all over the catwalks and can be just the thing to add some ‘wow’ to your look.

How to do it:

  1. Take a small section of dry hair from the crown and run a bristle brush from mid-lengths up towards the roots a few times, creating enough ‘frizz’ to make hair stand almost upright. Continue with top sections of your head.
  2. Gently smooth the hair into a beehive shape, then tie your hair into a low ponytail.
  3. Take a structured headband and push into the beehive near your hairline to create a ridge. Smooth over some flyaways using hands and tuck rogue ends under the headband, spritzing with Pantene Pro-V secret support hairspray. Add a second band further back to create another ridge, keeping volume between the bands.
  4. Either keep your ponytail loose or pin it into a bun shape. To finish, pin your bow over the elastic to one side.
