New celebrity perfumes – Beckham Signature

The Beckham’s are continuing to bring us nice surprises. It’s been almost a year since they’ve launched the two perfumes Intimately Beckham Night for her and for him, and now they’ve came back with a new scent Beckham Signature for Her and Signature for Him. Apparently, Victoria seemed to be busy launching her collection of dresses named “POSH Frocks”, but in fact she found time to take another project, this time one with a beautiful fragrance.

The new duo perfumes will be released in September 2008 and is meant to reflect their new image. They have moved to California recently so this must be one explanation considering their new image. Or could very well be an allusion to the glamorous lifestyle in California and the well known American dream. This is quite the life that Victoria wishes for and as we know that she likes to be center of attention, we can only imagine what is the new perfume style. Victoria said that by purchasing the new fragrance ” You’re getting a piece of David and me with this”

The brand said,

We decided to launch Beckham Signature for Him and Her in the prestige market due to the high style and aspirational nature of David and Victoria,”[...]

In order to capture their iconic, sophisticated sense of style, it seemed appropriate to take the Beckham franchise to the next level. This is the most selective and exclusive fragrance launch yet.

The feminine fragrance has anise flower and candy apple as top notes, continuing with middle notes as orchid, heliotrope and vanilla, and a drydown of patchouli, amber and musk. Sylvie Fischer from Takasago and Beckham developed the fragrance. Beckham also said:

I love white orchids, and I wanted something light,

I can’t bear it when you can smell someone before you see them.

As for Signature for Him, the top notes are mandarin, watermelon and marine notes, melting in the heart notes of fresh living lantana, cypress and spicy juniper berry, combined with the bases notes of moss, sensual white amber and patchouli.” This one was concieved by Beckham and Beatrice Piquet of International Flavors & Fragrances.

Could this be an autumn perfume? Since September is way to far, we only have to wait to sniff the Signature of Beckhams
